It showed up on Craigslist this morning....

The owner could use a few lessons in grammer/spelling/caps lock

However it is unique....

Anyone have any insight on what it might be? And what it might be worth?

I am thinking about $50 -$100 IF it comes with the trailer....and I am toying with the idea of going to look at it (he's not far from me)

However since he "WONTS a HOT Rod or old camero" I think he believes he is sitting on gold lol

Anyway, just wonder if any forum members have ever seen one?

I don't know what it is but it is definitely pretty cool looking. I think a small windshield would look good .

Re: So what is this thing?

Check thru KevFin's Boats in the Belfry site. But since it doesn't really have fins out back, it may be past the age of his boats & galleries. Though the headlights & bow are very similar to a GlassSlipper runabout.

Check thru some of the vintage boats by different makers @ the Library here. Join that site, and post the same info there. Those guys love a challenging round of what boat is this...

Andgott would be your best bet of getting an id around iboats as far as I know. He's had a few really vintage glass boats pass thru his shop, and knows lots of older boats.

I suspect you are exactly right about asking too much for his 'gold' colored lead... No rust bucket late 60's muscle cars.... He's plain out of his mind. Unless he has paperwork showing exactly what it is, what year, everyone who's owned it, all the original maker's info, all of the trim & interior, windshield & etc. Because he can't id it, he doesn't have any of that. So basically it's just another old vintage glasser in need of a lot of work. Even as cool as it looks, or could be when it's restored, it isn't worth a whole lot unless you're 1 of the handful of people, maybe just 1 guy in the whole US, that just has to have this boat....

Too bad it was neglected. It really should be put back to original, or as close as you could get it.

Seems to be missing a little detailing & trim:facepalm:.....

60's muscle car:facepalm:

What a maroon:eek:

Yeah, I know, spelled it wrong. Thought it fit w/ the ad:

That looks exactly like something that I would completely become enamored with and just have to drag home for one of those future projects that I would never get around to. Go check it out, he'd probably trade just about anything for it.
