Re: soda blasting small parts

I have the one in the attached link that I got from our local tractor supply. Used it on heavily painted engine parts and exhaust elbows and it worked great. I orginally tried paint stripper, but I had mixed results with that method. Tried different media from glass beads to garnet sand. Sand really removed the material, but lot's of pitting if you're not careful. I have read mixed reviews on using soda on aluminum parts, perhaps some of the pros can provide more info on that area. One thing for sure, your compressor needs to be able to provide the volume and pressure recommended or you will be stopping often while it catches up. Also lots of safety gear, full suit, gloves hood, mask etc. The media will go everwhere without a blast cabinet and it will find every place possible on your body, ears, hair, nose, you get it. Good luck
