My '69 40 hp 'rude has lots of issues, but it ran well last fall. I'm re-wiring and finding several things.
1)The cut-out switch was wired (I think), but no vacuum line hook-up. And there is no safety switch at all. If I hook up the cutout vacuum, will it do its job without the safety switch? I'll be trying to find a safety sw asap, but want to get on w/o it for now.
2) I read in another thread that a car solenoid will burn out the safety and cut-out. How can I tell whether it is a car or marine colenoid?
