solenoid wiring

hey i have a problem i just overhauled my 115 horsepower johnson 1984 and well... i cant figure out where the wire from the second little post down from the big post goes to/comes from

let me see if i can explain it better theres four posts on the solenoid... the third one down from the top theres nothing that i can see that connects to it and i dont see where it goes. someone please help me!!! or at least let me know a way i could explain my problem in more detail. thank you..

Two small solenoid posts...one next to the battery (+) cable should have a black wire attached to engine block ground. The one next to the starter lead should have a yellow/red wire leading to the main harness plug, connected to the "S" keyswitch terminal through the neutral start switch.
