If you mean how to adjust it, go by what the manual says. I have no idea what engine a 44PAI Solex carb is on.

It is AQ170 with triple carbs, not much in the manual about adjustment.
My engine starts, idle and run fine under high power, but dies when try to accelerate ,I must accelerate extremely slow in small increments to get on high RPM.

You do understand that with triple carbs, they have to be synchronized to work properly together, and the accelerator pumps have to all work.

Yes ,carbs are recently rebuild and pumps are spraying fuel ones I touch the throttle ,but maybe duration is short or they flooding with fuel.
It happen before on my previous AQ130C after rebuild carbs with aftermarket kits, including diaphragms .

Re: SOLEX 44 acceleration pump adjustment

You'll have to adjust the nuts on the accel pump linkage so that they all start to compress the diaphram at the same time and also at just the right time. It can go either way as to when you want them to start squirting and you'll need to experiment. I start out with them starting to squirt as soon as you begin to open the butterflies. You may need to have them begin compressing the diaphram just a tiny bit later depending on how the engine reacts. I've had to play with them to get it right.

Another thing to look at is the position of the spring in the housing. I've seen a drawing in an aftrmarket kit that shows the spring on the lever side of the diaphram. It's supposed to be in the carb housing so that the lever pushes against the spring and compresses the diaphram to push fuel up into the candy cane. The spring then pushes the diahram back.

Thanks Pirate Past40,those springs are also wrong shows in the Seloc manual, drawing is wrong ,photo is right.
I misplace them years ago ,when rebuild carbs first time ,if you assemble wrong pumps will not squirt at all.
I did not move those adjusting nuts during overhauling carbs, but aftermarket diaphragms must have different geometry and pumps need to be re calibrated. So since there is no "silver bullet" for this will follow your advise and try to move adjusting nuts ,see how engine reacts.
Thank you.

Re: SOLEX 44 acceleration pump adjustment

Sounds like you may have the wrong manual. Try this OEM manual and see if it helps (pages 32 and 33 of the manual)

http://www.4shared.com/file/59747156/6c065c44/AQ130_thru_170_Serv_Man.html

Thanks Don S. ,this is great manual,I have original hard copy of this, but there is not much about calibration of acceleration pumps .
Seloc and other manuals reminds to screw in adjusting nut same number of revolutions in case they were remove ,just to preserve factory settings. With new aftermarket diaphragms I must re calibrate ,engine accelerate fine before.
