solid mounts vs. rubber mounts

I know its been discussed alot ,but never got an answer for my situation. and read alot ,but still no real definate answer. i own 1988 thompson 240 HT with 5.0lx/ edelbrock 4 barrel 600 cfm/alpha 1 gen 1,switching motors to 5.7 vortec , looking to lessen vibration noise,saw barr marine front motor mounts with hard rubber insert does anybody use these. Did they lessen noise? whats every ones opinion on these rubber insert motor mounts

Ayuh,.... The stock Merc mounts are rubber mounted,..??

Turn one over, it's rubber inside a cast iron housing.

ok ,so went and checked and yes indeed theres some rubber underneath ,i guess we can shut this thread down thanx
