:)Look familiar? I'm not sure if I'll get old bilge pumps tossed at me, or maybe last years fouled plugs. But this site has been good to me and I wanted to post some good news. I just got back from the Eastern Shore of Va with my new (to me) '89 60hp Johnnie. Got 'er on the stand, and hooked everything up.The muffs run was flawless. Compression comes out in the 130's an all 3. Shifts smooth, TT works perfect. It was a rich boys toy. He already owns a big offshore blue water boat with twin 175's. He got a good deal on one of the new Suzuki 4 strokers and replaced the 60 with a new Suzie. The factory paint on the inside of the flywheel teeth is still intact. All I need to do now (motorwise) is install a new impeller and replace the NGK's with Champions. Completed a Seafoam decarb last night. Now to get after that hull. Thanks for the input of all who contribute to this forum. KR:)

Yeah, you should see it close up. I was a commercial concrete form carpenter for 12 years. Bridges and the like, Function over form. It's a nice maple tree, didn't want to kill it by jamming in full of 16d nails. The whole stand goes in the burn pile in a month or two. :):)

Yeah boy! Full floor, new front deck, small CC. Rails for the kids. Poly on the outside. Boat was free. (Duh.. wonder why) It's all a mattter of time. 'Cuz I was a nail bender for so many years, I'm not at all intimidated by the structural stuff. It was getting my hands on a good motor that was the real challenge. It oughta be a hoot. For some laughs, I thought I'd post some pics of my zero cost, enviromentally friendly, disposable, engine stand-engine hoist combo. It's a one man job. This motor had a lifting eye, so the come along could do the work for me. No way to do it by myself without the ratchet winch. KR
