Cool looking boat. I really like the stringers. Looks like the manufacturer had planned for this boat to last a long time.

yeah, she's got a fairly thick hull. Some others I've seen are really thin in the glass layup. I want to make a fuel tank to fit up inbetween the middle stringers. It'll be about 20cm x 20cm x 1500 cm. I hope that'll hold enough fuel (60 litres).<br /><br />Wish I'd taken some photo's of the transom as I pulled it out. I kid you not, there were two railway sleepers joined together to make the transom!!!!

Keep up the good work lark. Are those stringers glass boxes? and what are railway sleepers?

railway sleepers are big hardwood planks that they put under the train tracks.<br /><br />The stringers are one piece of glass, that is moulded in that shape and then glassed into the bottom of the hull. Really strong.
