Someone in Albuquerque who can work on Johnson 40 RDS 23

I need to tune up and get running my Johnson 40 RDS 23 (1961 model). I have called a couple of places in Albuquerque NM where I live and they are arfraid to work on something that old. Does anyone know of someone in this area that is competent to work on my motor.

My Dad used to have a shop in Tesuque and he was about the only one in NM any good on OMC motors and routinely had warranty customers come from S. CO, etc. He died a few years ago, and the only outfit that comes to mind is Taylor Marine, but I think they are only Mercury dealers, so that wouldn't be a good choice. You may have to go a considerable distance to find competent a mechanic.

You may end up making this a DYI deal.

I've been to Taylor Marine and they do stock johnson parts, but they don't work on the motors.
