well not mine but a friend of my wife is getting divorced and the gas looks like someone poured 10 gallons of oil in the gas task. the boat is a 2001 22' hydrosport so it dosent get mixed gas. we think her husband came when she was not home and put oil in the tank. the two four wheelers also have the same greenish blue gas in them also. i guess he just wants to make things a living hell. so any suggestions as to how or what to do about the gas in the boat? the atvs are easy enough to drain, but we think the boat has about 50 gallons of bad fuel. so what could we do? how much gas can be left in the tank and be okay to use after fresh gas is put back in? does anyone know how i would dispose of the fuel once i get it out of the tank? the only reason i care is i get to use the boat anytime i want once we can get it back to running. the lady got a quote from a company that says $140 to take out the fuel and $80 per barrel to be hauled away. any ideas

i think you need to find out whats actually in the tank... and how much of it...

maybe its something even worse than oil?

Pump, drain, siphon all gas out of boat and other vehicles, use for weed and bug killer, great for fire ants and yellow jacket nests, etc. Good Luck1

you may also check with a local auto repair shop and see if you can put the drained mixture into their oil recycling tank....they sell the oil to recyclers so its a good bet they will take all that you offer...I hope this helps

i would siphon it all out, take it to his house, and put it in his tank. hopefully he has a diesel.

all joking aside, most auto shops will take it from you.

I'm assuming the boat is on a trailer. Make a few calls to a few local garages and/or oil recyclers and then take the boat there and have them pump it out. They will have the proper equipment. Then fill up with good gas and buy a locking cap.

If you live near the water, oil recovery companies will take it; they will also pump it out.I wouldn't use it unless you were certain what;s in it. Change your seperator too incase he gave the bulb a squeeze or two.
If you want to read about what bad stuff can go into gas, read the post about someone stealing gas.

I would find out exactly what was put in the gas. If it is just oil, mix about 5 gallons in when you fill up your car. I would use it in my truck, it's not picky.

I agree about finding out just what is in it... If it is just oil, then use it a little at a time in your/her lawn equipment, truck, etc. until gone. If it is oil, then a little in the boat tank will nto hurt once diluted with fresh fuel...

Boy I hope you're kidding with that one. If I found out any of my neighbors were using gas and oil as a week killer, there'd be hell to pay.
