Wanted a title that would get some attention.. I just want to make sure I haven't done something wrong... I just ran a wire for one of my coils that was missing. I got the magento back on and the throttle cable post attached to the arm off of the plate that rotates the entire armature plate. When the flywheel is off it is very easy to move the throttle bracket and the armature plate rotates, when I put the flywheel on it gets very difficult to move (this is all by hand and I am using the lever that the throttle cable attaches to at the bottom of the cowling). I am guessing that this is normal from the weight of the flywheel but I just wanted to make sure....

Anyone have any insight? This is my first old outboard and want to make sure everything is good before I put it all back together. Engine is a Johnson 28- RX10-c

sound like you got the coil installed and it is hitting the flywheel.
go here, scroll down and read about the alignment of the coils.
Should solve your problems.
