Something missing from the distributor?

Hi all, new to me mercury 3.0 in an Ebbtide 170 from 1989. Just starting to go over it and found these wires at the distributor, the single one is just aft. Any ideas?

Well, you'll be looking for points to file for a looong time. That is an EST Voyager ignition from Delco. Pretty nice system, and all electronic.
