well got out today finally after some maintenance anyway i have a 17foot closed bow 3.0 140hp omc with omc outdrive it has a 13 1/4 17p prop on it.
drop the hammer today and only getting 4000rpm?? The prop does have so marked up edges and a little bend in it. Could that really effect the rpm that much??

Im buying a new one and im understanding 17p is the way to go for hole shots/tubing and skiing this true??
Should i go bigger diameter? what brand you reccomend?? I want to stay aluminum. better to go to 4 blade or keep 3 blade. top end not improtant

Thanks

A dinged up prop can cause rpm problems but usually higher numbers that lake matching speed. You could have your prop repaired and do some test runs and get back to us.What was your speed at 4,000?Rpm without the speed doesn't help much.
That should perform briskly with rpm close to over reving.
I wouldn't get a prop until you get some test runs with your repaired prop.
