His hair looks MUCH better short and spiky than it did mop topped. But he really aged a lot, according to that last photo! ;)

rofl....yep , the new haircut definitely made him look much more mature in that last pic......and his prom date looks a bit to young! :lol:

unm yeah it WAS the style - glad he asked for cut - basketball and swimming not comfy w long hair! :)

good that ya let him do what he wants with his hair.
i did that with my boy too. mine's 23 now w/real short professional looking hair and is working in a suit and tie. this is what he wants and it makes no difference to me. it's his hair.
myself. my dad forced hair cuts on me with dog shears untill i was almost out of the house. the military made me cut all my hair off. they used dog shears on me too. i hated it. at this point, i don't think i've had a haircut since about 1984, the last time an employer forced me to do that.
better to live and let live.

Ditto, I stopped cutting my hair shortly after I got out in 75.

Last year the shoulder sockets (both rebuilt once) got so inflamed I couldn't hold either hand high enough to brush my hair. It got so tangled and knotted that I gave up, sat on the garage floor and handed the clippers to the 6y.o. G'son and let him go at it.

It's all gone, my brain gets cold now.

yeah he's a grt son! :) helps out way more than his buds do at their houses and a good cook as well! :)

Upon graduation from Army basic training I offered to pay my son's DI for getting his hair cut and otherwise making a man out of him. He was 17 at the time. He retired as a LTC 6 yrs. ago. Don't they grow up and change?

I remember years ago living at parents house, and I would literally be on my way out to the barber shop to get a haircut, when my mother would yell at me to get a g..d..mmnn haircut. Dratt! now I have to live with this hair another month or so
