Anyone added (more) sound deadener to the inside of the engine cowl? The 40hp has a 1/2" layer of light weight foam. I'm looking to replace that with something more substantial. Thinking of the sound deadener used in those Boom Boom stereo cars.

The 40hp cowl has the air inlet on the back side and as long as that inlet is not blocked I don't see any issue with heat or air starvation.

I would like the motor to be quieter. It does have the carb sound baffle in place.

Anyone tried this?
