sound deadening in doghouse?

I have an older Maxum Stern drive and the fiberglass doghouse used to have sound deadening that covered the inside. It was 1" thick foam with mylar that looked like it was peal and stick applied. The factory stuff is all gone, does anyone have a good replacement? I'd like to dampen the sound of the motor a bit.

Don't waste your money on the 1/2" stuff. Go with the 1". That's probably what the factory used.

Chriscraft254 asked this same question once...
I suggested quick roof which is available from Home Depot or lowes and works similar to dyno mat and he tried it... He was very pleased with the results and although I never heard it before I did meet him and ride on his boat after and it was very quiet...

It's a dense peel n stick about 1/8" thick with a Mylar outer (inner in your case) skin.

It's inexpensive and you could always spend the big bucks on acoustic foam later n add it along with the quick roof.

Yea the quick roof looks great. Sadly I can't find it here in Canada. Anyone use anything similar I may be able to find?
