sound transducer

I have a 1991 thompson santa cruz. I am installing a 6000i complete with open array, gps, and echosounder box but currently do not have the sounder transducer unit. Any suggestions. Can I use a in hull 1kw unit? If so what unit and where can I get a good deal?
