Sources for vintage parts

I have an old Johnson Outboard. AD-11 to be exact. From some research it looks like it is from 1957 and it is 7.5 hp. I disassembled the motor today to remove the shift handle. It broke at the base. I am trying to repair it, but it is so small and delicate, I don't think any brazing will hold. I have been trying to find replacement parts, but not having much luck. Anyone know of good sources??

Thanks for any help...

Thanks TD

Occassionaly my dealer indicates that a part is coming from the vintage warehouse. What would they be referring to?

I don't know about the other places, but this yard is AWESOME! It's on the way to O.C. Maryland and I stop there every time I go to the beach! Besides parts, it's also a museum of sorts. They have restored OMCs all over the place.

I don't think this helps, but I couldn't resist!:D

Where are you located? Maybe your local dealer has an old AD on the back rack for parts? You need a shifter from a 1954-58 5.5-7.5 hp Johnson/Evinrude. Drop me a PM and I'll send you the parts manual for your motor.
