Hi chad.

Please don't shout. If you just post a question it will get the same attention without annoying anyone.

We have to have more info. Look for a plate somewhere on the engine that gives a model and serial number. If you can't find that describe the engine in more detail. How many cylinders, what color is the engine block painted, is there a number stamped on a freeze plug on the top, etc.?

Let us know. :)

sounds like a Gale Sovereign with an unfortunate paint job. Gale was made by OMC -- good motors. You need a model number. It's probably '60s vintage, but just guessing.

I'm fairly sure your engine is a 1963 40 hp...definitely made by Gale (OMC) but the serial numbers you gave most closely match that of the "Buccaneer" line. The only Sovereign listed is a 60 hp.

Hope this helps.

Walt
