I been wondering lately...that 700 foot wall along the Rio Grande...I guess it'll have to go on our side of the river, which wouldn't it be better to put it on their side...but anyways, what I was wondering was...where we gonna find the labor...

I'm sure any contractor would be glad to have any part of that, and beings it's a Government contract it will be required to pay "a living wage ($25.00 per hr. for labor)"

Good for the economy, good for the country.

probly right, crunch, but I just had this image in my head of a more "local" workforce, and when the last brick is put in place they all stand back, to admire they're work, as it were, look up to see which side they're on, and a big cheer goes up from half of 'em...

Get used to it. The populace just voted in amnesty for all those here and coming here.

Any state iniatives will be knocked down by appelate courts, especially the 9th circuit. (Pelosi country).

Again, get used to it. Arabic will be the next language added.

Who knows, he might speak better english than some high school graduates...

Or for that matter, the dope who just got elected as my next county commissioner. He ran as a Democrat, but his rhetoric was more right-wing than the republican candidate's and his campaign literature that came to my PO box was so inarticulate and full of typos, spelling errors and bad grammar that it was embarassing to read. The other democratic candidate in the primary was light years ahead of this guy in well-reasoned and well-written campaign literature, but he lost the primary by THREE votes.

But, in the general election, the republican incumbent, who I voted for last time, was so ineffective and out of touch, that he was totally buried by the other candidate. Apparently the electorate around here responds more to angry rhetoric than a skillful command of the native tongue.

That's not just in your locale.

No Jtex, a lot of those tasks are now contracted out to security firms that are designed just to supplement HLS's responsibility. I think at SFO airport you can now go from ticket counter to boarding a plane without ever coming face to face with anyone from HLS.
