Can anyone tell me how diagnose spark? Start to finish. I’m at a loss about now.

Get an open air adjustable tester. Clamp to a clean ground on the powerhead, and insert tester into one of the plug boots -- second plug removed from the motor as well. Believe you should see a strong 3/8" spark (measures ignition condition, not related to plug gap.)
