thanks to MG for the link(s) that helped me ID my Evinrude engine as a 1957, 18 hp. Also, my starting problem has been solved by replacing the shear(?) pin. Now my question, does anyone know what spark plugs and gaps I should use. I purchased this engine recently and it seems that the previous owner nearly destroyed it.
