How the heck does this thing go together?

Do I put the metal tang into the rubber boot and THEN try to force the wire onto it? Or do I put the tang on the wire, then try to pull it through the rubber boot?

Thanks for any insight, this should be simple.

John, Strip the end of the plug wire 1/4" to expose the center wire. Split the center wire into two equal sets of strands. Put the spring coil against the bare wire and force the point into the center of the plug wire, so it hits the core wire and makes good contact. Now a bit of WD-40 on the inside of the boot and it will slip over the spring coil.

A two minute soak in hot water will make a huge difference putting together new ones and removing old ones. But for clarity sake, You push it together. Rick.
