went to change plugs on my 1988 evinrude 100 hp w100wtlm at napa they looked them up and gave me the champion QL16V spark plugs when I went to change them I found champion L78V plugs installed when you compare the two plugs the QL16V is a slight bit longer on the electrode end could someone please check to see what plugs are correct for my engine. I am worried about piston clearance. the champion site says QL16v is correct Thanks Randy

Re: spark plug help

Both are still listed for your engine.

http://shop.evinrude.com/

Check the cylinder and crankcase diagram for your motor.

When you see the number pointing to the part, click the number which will take you to the original part number. Then, click the magnifying glass for the superseding part.
