Spark Plug issue

The Johnson manual says for me to use a QL82C plug. The first 2 stores I visted don't have it, but have the QL82YC. The guy behind the counter said it was basically the same plug. I didn't like the way he said it. Anyone else run into this? My engine is a 2000 Johnson 25 HP 2 cycle 3 cylinder.

I would hold off until you can get the listed plug for your engine.The YC in the plug number denotes a protruding nose plug and will extend the end of the plug an additional .060" into the combustion chamber.
