hey I have a 1975 650 65hp merc. and I rebuilt the carbs, put all new fuel lines, new spark plugs, rebuilt water pump, and all seals in the lower end.
Still the engine will not go over 2100 rpm at full throttle. And today I pulled the plugs and found that the plug in cyl. 1 looks dry. There is no gas on it. The other two plugs look ok, they have a little gas on them. What does this mean??
Also when I put a new line on the check valve that goes from the top of the crankcase to the bottem, this gray sticky stuff started to come out, and now it is showing up in the carbs??? im going to clean them again, but I dont know what that stuff is and where it is comming from??
