Could you guys recommend a spark plug tester, and a link to see it.... I have a 1993 200hp. I've read threads where it is recommended to see if the spark will jump 7/16." The testers I've seen hook to the plug wire and plug and I guess light up if spark is getting there...wondering how you do the 7/16" thing?

Thanks,

Bill

Thanks buddy, 50 years of working on stuff without one, time to add it to the tool box......

Hey - It beats licking and sticking your finger down a spark plug boot. :D

I know, I've been "electrocuted" a few times over the years...I like the idea of measuring the 7/16" jump...in the olden days we used to just like the color blue.....

Check around. They make different versions of that tester. Just make sure it's adjustable.

You can easily buy one at most any auto parts store for a few bucks. They are everywhere...

Check the Web for Stevens Instrument Company. They make many of the Bombardier Dealer electrical test equipment devices-including a number of spark checkers.
