i have a 1960-61 mercury 800 direct drive. the spark plug wires screw into the dis. how can you use auto plug wires<br />

Yes, but you must use stranded wire core, not the carbon type.

Hi Glasspar<br />As 12Footer says you mush use Wire leads. You will ether have to purchess new screw type ends (the best idea) or carefully remove the ones you have and recrimp them back on.
