spark plug wires

do they just unscrew out of the coils, i just want to make sure before i wreck one? does it matter if i use snowmobile style caps as replacements? the snowmobile ones screw into the wire instead of the little spring thingy that is there now, i am just worried about clearance as those ngk caps are bigger.

my wires just push into the coil, but i have a 9.5 motor
