Spark plug wires

15 hp Johnson, hasn't been run in 3 years, 1987 model. Pulled for hours wouldn't start. Looks to me like the inside of the plug wires are corroded or something. Put a couple wires on from my car and it started right up. Tried a small burr bit in my dremel, didn't seem to help. Any ideas MUCH appreciated.

Have you tried here for wires? Sierra makes a lot of marine parts. Are you old wires copper core?
