spark plug ?

i am a newbie, i bought my first boat a couple of monthe ago 93 bayliner 120 force. the only spark plugs i have ever seen are from my lawnmower they have the tab onit that you have to set the gap correctly. my boat plugs due not have that tab, is that normal

Yes this is common on 2 stroke motors. It is a rim or ring fire spark plug. The design is intended to avoid hot spots during ignition to give a more controlled burn.
