Re: spark plug?

Kind of personal preference I guess. I've run NGK and Champions with no problem. I really have no preference. I know others have run Champion and prefer them over the NGK. I think that if the motor is in good mechanical condition, and the ignition system is working like it should, there is little difference between the various plugs as long as you used the manufacturer recommended surface gap plugs. Don't "experiment" with the regular automotive bent electrode type. You may end up finding out how much it costs for a re-build due to a hole melted in the piston. Your motor should be running Champion UL18V or NGK BUHX.

When Mercury got their hands on Force, they changed to the Merc surface gap L76V (Not sure of the number) so you could probably run that plug as well. Do not take this as an "etched in stone" recommendation. I have not yet tried these plugs.
