i just bought a new set of plugs for 1996 yamaha 150 saltwater series motor. picked them up at west marine along with one of their free catolgues. when i came to the page on spark plugs they had a note saying that due to recent changes in gasoline additives, you may need to run a different plug. my book recommends the ngk br8hs-10. does anyone now if this needs to be changed?<br />thanks, ed in florida

i usually run 86 but sometimes 87. plugs look dark, not heavy with oil and some carbon deposits deep in the plug..

Sounds like "lugging". What top RPM is possible with an average load? Right choice on fuel. What oil?
