OK, I'm not sure if it was an error in the Champion Sparkplug Application Chart, or they changed the recommended plugs for my engine again.
I have a 1978 Johnson 115HP x-flow and have been running L77JC4 pluggs gapped at 0.40".
The Champion Application Chart at my local marinea, and the one listed online> http://www.boatsetup.com/SparkPlugChart.html
lists a QL77JC4 @ 0.030 gap.

So what is the best for me??? I use the boat for fishing & with my kids water toys & sking.

MOSTLY fishing where it idles for long periods followed by high speed runs for some miles, followed by a 2 mile no wake zone run back to the ramp.
Thanks for any help!
;)

Re: Spark Plugs???

Use the QL77JC4. Set them at .040 for a better idle without hurting top end.
