What sparkplug do you guys reccommend for 2003 Mercury ELPTO ? Thanks

There are a gazillion 2003 Merc ELPTO's. We have no idea what HP or model you have. You can also check the application books wherever you buy your plugs.

There should be a white label on your engine (port side) below the orange warning label shown in the picture below. The plug number is on that label. I believe you engine used an NGK BUHW-2 which is a surface gap plug.

Hey Silver, put him onto your conventional plugs. Mine are still running fine.

I guess the TEE in your pic for the pee tube is for a water pressure gauge...........

Yup -- that's for the pressure gauge and no I won't do the plug advice. I don't mind giving tips like that to people that understand this stuff but I hesitate to bring that up to those who may not. I've been around the block enough times to know that some folks would think "this worked great on my 90 Merc, I'll slide some in Dads 90 Evinrude." Next thing you know I'm a bigger jerk than I already am because Dad's 90 Evinrude now has a couple of ventilated pistons and the son is now looking for a place to live. 8)
