Spark Plugs?

I just put two new spark plugs in my engine and it still isn't starting. The wires that connect to the spark plugs seem to be in good condition except one of the springs comes out sometimes that goes around the head of the spark plug. Is it alright if I just shove it back in the cap each time or do I need to buy a new wire?

Also, how do I check to see if I'm getting a spark? Do I need special tools?

Jeff

You need to buy a new wire. However if you have no spark at all, you must have some other error. Try as the first to disconnect kill circuit at coils.

How can I tell if I'm getting a spark or not?

Jeff

Re: Spark Plugs?

Unscrew your plug and leave it attached to the wire.

Lay it down and pull your cord. If you see spark between the plug you have spark. If not the coil/magneto would be your problem.
