I know this may be a recurrent question but, what are the supposed plugs for an engine that has:

No identification.
4.3L v6 205hp.
It's carbed, 4bb.
Vortec valve covers. (pre-vortec)
stamped steel rockers.
Has top balancer.
Had external raw water pump (I deleted it)
Relay center with circuit breakers and electric fuel pump+filter nicely integrated.
Alternator on top, steering pump bottom ????
Pics here: http://forums.iboats.com/boat-resto...epair/93-sea-ray-200br-overhaul-589067-2.html

I'm very sure that this was a TBI block (if any) that was retrofitted to be carbed, as the casting numbers appeared to be so new, around 1996, when I looked for the rebuild parts. PO also told me that it was recently swapped.
Wiring harness also looked odd. Too much sophisticated. It had Trim relays and signals integrated with the eng. harness.

The manual (one o' them?) says that the recommended plugs are Champion rs12yc but they seem to me too large a tip on inet pics.
It had Champions rv8c installed.

Thnx.

Re: Spark plugs

Ayuh,.... If it's got the 12 bolt intake manifold, it uses the AC Delco, MR43T plugs,...

If it's got the 8 bolt intake, it takes the AC Delco, MR43TLS,... or is it LTS,..??

It's the longer MR43T anyways,...

Re: Spark plugs

It's the 12 bolt intake. so I think they would be the Champions RV8C.

But the parts store sent me the rs12yc. By now they're being shipped from more than 1200kms.

Would that
rs12yc definitely not work with my engine? will they be hitting the piston or something?

Thanks Bond-o.
