Spark Plugs

I know what is recomended for my outboard but is there one brand/type of plug that is that much better than another. Say are the splitfire plugs actually worth the money? Platinum v/s regular and such.<br />I have a 50hsp 1987 Johnson and even though it is old I want to get it to run as good as I can.

Dont waste your money on the splitfire. Use whats called for by the manufacturer. Just buy the regular plugs. You should be changing them every year. Use anti-seize on the threads.

Ditto on what Trent said. Manufactures recomendation only....
