Spark plugs

I have a 1976 55 hp Johnson seahorse and i was woundering what kind of spark plug to use it says to use a champion l77j4. the motor has ac m44c in it and i can't find either pulgs any where. i would like to know what plugs would work on this motor and <br />what gap it needs. thank you

Welcome to Iboats, pstyle25!<br />You can use the supressor plug Champion QL77JC4 gapped at .030" or the Champion L78V surface gap plug in your 2 cyl 55hp. But you'll probably want to use the QL77JC4 - should be easy enough to find for you.<br />Stay away from the other brands for Johnny/Rudes.<br /><br />Hope this helps!
