Which sparkplug is recommended for the carburated 350 V8 with vortec heads?
I just went through my 1980 mercruiser motor and changed to the 906 vortec heads. It will more than likely get a delco EST ignition as well.
Comp cam #12-232-3
.030 over
~ 9.2-1 comp ratio.
600 cfm 4bbl.

Thanks for looking.

Re: sparkplug for vortec head V8

Standard Merc plugs for carbed vortec:

AC - MR43LTS
NGK - BPR6EFS
Champion - RS12YC

Gapped @ 0.045"

PS: If your coil doesn't output the same as a Thunderbolt 4/5, you might have to close up the gap some.

PSS: I checked your project out. You have been busy! Are you still running the log type exhaust? Any clearance issues with the sparkplugs with the vortec heads? On vortec heads and 88-95 heads the sparkplug location moved a little.
