I have a 1993 yamaha 200(txrr). My hydraulic trim seals are leaking. It looks like you could just use a spaner wrench and unscrew the hydraulic ram caps. So i tried it, and found out you need a special tool. Does any one know where i can get this tool or maybe rent one? Has any one tried this before?

I am in the same boat as you. I have tried everything to no avail. Interested in the responses.

This is why the shops charge all that money to repair things, they have to have all the tools and they cost a lot of money.
I have heard of some using a punch to get them out and then replace with new going back because you damage it.

I made a spanner wrench for my 1998 Suzuki which I believe has the same or similar power trim. I bought a piece of 3/16" steel flat bar from Home Depot and a couple of cap screws that fit in the holes of the cap. All you have to do is grind out a U shape to clear the shaft and drill and tap two hole that to match the the holes in your cap. Took me about 30 minute and cost less than 20 bucks.

I made a special tool of my own out of 3/8 steel plate a friend had at work. Drilled 3 holes in it and cut the rest out with a cutting torch. It works prety well.
