Specs help for 84' Mariner/Merc 4hp 2 stroke?

Hey gents, Anybody have/source for weight/feature specs of the subject motor? Were these motors built by Tohatsu like the (Nissans and Mercs of the 90's)? I have the opertunity to grab one that "won't start" for very cheap $. From the description of the owner it sounds like typical gummed up fuel system issues and easy to repair. I'd be interested if it's a 44# motor with full gears ( like my 92' Tohatsu 5) but not if it's heavier/lacks reverse. Unfortunatly, it's going to take an hour ride just to check it out.
Any help in specs/features appreciated.

The 84 Mariner is Yamaha made is is a full shift lower unit,the model number is a 4A and should start with a 6EO. 80% of the parts are NLA thru Mercury but can still get thru Yamaha as the 4 hp
