I just installed a new spedometer. it is a teleflex 5 - 35 mph unit. It registers up to about 20 or 21 MPH with 2 people full load and full tank with a Rude 20 TNT at 4500 RPM at WOT in m 16 foot Aluminum semi V bass boat. Now I had the other person get out so I lost about 175lbs same water conditions it still reads 20 MPH and I know I am going at least 3 or more MPH faster as I ran along side a boat the last time out at 25mph on there spedo. The RPM went to 5000 at WOT but the speed stayed the same or 1 MPH slower. Could it be the pickup is not in the water enough? I have it 1 1/2 inch below hull about 1/2 distance from center of transon to the left. I did notice there was a water spray from the pickup with two people but not when I was by myself.<br /><br />Any ideas?
