Speedo not working on 90 hp Mariner

My speedometer on my 90 HP mariner is not working. I followed the tube back to the motor and no kinks. It goes into a fitting screwed into the lower unit. What should I look at next?

On the leding edge of the lower unit housing thats the pickup remove the hose from the unit a back flush the pickup with air or water

you can usualy run a tiny drill bit in the hole with your fingers and clean out any obstruction. If you hit a rotten log it will drive wet wood in the hole and plug it.........Jerry
