Will the speed read wrong if the hose has been spliced in several spots??

Thanks

Re: Speedo question

Depends on how the splices were made. As long as the tube is open, resistrictions will not affect pressure at the gauge but it may result in slightly lagging response to speed changes. As inaccurate as pitot speedometers are, you will never know for sure.

Re: Speedo question

I would agree assuming that the splices don't leak at all. On the same note I beleive the longer your tube (and we're talking lots) or the less ridgid your tube walls are, the less pressure change your gague will realize. But this would be a bias (ie reading consistently low or high), not an inaccuracy. Obviously as silvertip stated, these small variations wouldn't be nearly enough to notice outside the entire variation in the system.

Re: Speedo question

Thanks guys............I just noticed 3 splices with proper tubing splicers.....but the ID is much smaller than the tubing ID, I have new hose just didnt know if it would even be worth changing it.
