Speedo question

[204 Escape]

I have a 2006 LARSON 204 Escape f/s deck boat. It has Faria guages. The speedo does NOT work. I have checked the hole in the lower unit, and it is clean. The hose is connected as it should be. Is there a fuse just for the speedo? ALL other guages work.

Suggestions ??

it could be back in the hole and u cant see it or it might have a hole in the hose,, take it loose on the back of the speedo guage and blow air thru it with a compressor and see if air comes out the lower unit, if not u should be able to hear where the leak is,, u can put air on the guage to check it to but dont use to much.

Yeah, check the speedo head first. If the needle won't jump, you have issues there.

I just took a 1/8" drill bit, and run it through the bottom hole in the lower unit. It "felt" like I cleaned it out. The bit run back in there farther than it had and all. I will find out when I take it out the next time.
