I have a 1997 Mariner 50 ELPTO outboard and I noticed a bunch of water pouring out from where I believe the speedometer connects. I have the service manual and it shows the "speedometer pick-up assembly" that comes out of the lower unit. It is currently plugged because I don't have a speedometer and don't need one. However, there is another random hole near that area and water is pouring out of it. This hole is not in any of the service manual diagrams. I attached a picture of the hole where the water comes out. Any thoughts on what this is? Should I plug that too? Thanks in advance.
