So, I have seen where there is an opening on the leading edge of the drive that is used as the pitot tube for the speedometer. I don't find that my lower unit has one (on either of my two lower unit housings). My drive is an Alpha One Gen One. Is this only a feature on Alpha One Gen II and/or Bravo drives? If it is available on Alpha One Gen One, can I just locate another lower unit housing and swap parts to it? Want to avoid the pitot tube mounting to the transom.

Thanks...

There was never a Speedo pitot on the Alpha One drive. It was introduced on the Gen II only.
