I know to alot of you this is a really stupid question but i need to know before i do anything stupid.

Today when i was going fast on my boat water starting pouring out from underneath the dashboard. It was the speedometer ofcourse. The plug poped out. Everytime i put it back it poped right back out again. I didnt pull the plug from the stern bacause i'm not sure if water will come in anyway.

Is it ok to pull the plug from the speedometer on the stern.

Or whats the best way to make it stop poping out?

You guys/gals can probably tell this is my 1st boat. And a learning experience. I'd rather not find things out the hard way.

Re: speedometer question

hi yes you can just unhook it from the stern, but why don't you just buy another compression fitting for about 2 bucks and fix it? just cut the bad part of the hose off and put in a new fitting
