speedometer questions

what is the jadget that your rubber tube hooks up to at the bottom of the transom and goes to the speedometer and how much does one cost to replace,,,anyone know,,,,i lost mine while boating around this weekend????dont know how either??/

Just fitted one to my boat, it,s called pitot screws onto transom and sits in water flow, they can be purchased seperatly mine came with the gauge along with small bore pipe and fitting kit, here in UK cost was only £35, but have seen pitots on ebay and chandlers can,t imagine they are worth much? JBD

They are just a couple of dollars here and available at most places that sell boating supplies and equipment. One size fits-all!!
